Wellness Services at the Campus Recreation & Wellness Center is a dynamic component of the building, serving as a resource for the entire University community and supporting individuals in their pursuit of optimal health and well-being.
Partnership
The Wellness Services area in the new Campus Recreation & Wellness Center is a collaborative effort between Recreational Services, Student Wellness, and UI Wellness (UI Human Resources) to proactively address health and wellness needs of University of Iowa students, faculty and staff.
Location
Wellness Services is located on the first floor, just inside the main entrance of the Campus Recreation & Wellness Center.
Student services
Student Wellness offers wellness programs to help students build and maintain healthy habits now as a Hawkeye and in the future. Individual consultations and educational programs are offered in the following areas:
- Alcohol & Other Drugs
- Healthy Eating/Nutrition
- Physical Activity/Fitness
- Sexual Health
- Stress Management
- Tobacco Cessation
Other student wellness programs include:
- Health Ninjas – Peer Opinion Leaders
- Red Watch Band Program
- Health Screenings/Online Programs
