BodyPump Private

We are excited to introduce BODYPUMP Private, a premium small-group training experience designed for those ready to elevate their strength journey. With a reduced class size, this format allows for more individualized coaching, enhanced feedback on technique, and greater support from your instructor — creating an environment where participants can lift smarter, progress faster, and feel more confident in every rep.

Because capacity is limited, registration is required to reserve your spot. This paid format ensures a dedicated training space, intentional programming, and a level of coaching that goes beyond a traditional group fitness class.

Les Mills Limited Edition: Strength Development

Specialized Group Training offers a boutique-style fitness experience at a fraction of the cost. Each program features science-backed workouts designed to maximize safety, effectiveness, and results. By enrolling, you secure your spot in class and benefit from increased personal attention from your instructor or coach. Your registration includes a commitment to attend two classes per week for six weeks—providing the structure, consistency, and support you need to succeed. We are confident you’ll enjoy these programs as much as we do.

This is progressive strength training, meaning each workout focuses on a specific training protocol for building strength over 12 different workouts. This ranges from Foundational Strength, to Hypertrophy, to Pure Strength, while the structure and feel is very different to BODYPUMP™.

The music is there to provide great workout tracks without moving to the beat. Instead, Les Mills Strength Development uses Time Under Tension, as well as rep-ranges depending on the prescribed protocol of the workout.

Whether new to lifting or a seasoned pro, Les Mills Strength Development will build muscle, improve technique, and grow your confidence so you can train more powerfully in the studio and on the gym floor.

How to register online:

Payment:

  • Payment must be made at the time of registration online or at the membership desk. 
  • Forms of payment accepted: Cash, Check (made out to The University of Iowa), Credit Card, U-bill (Cash, Check, and U-bill are in-person only).

Refunds, missed classes, and cancellations

  • No refunds will be given 3-days prior to the first class.
  • There are no makeup sessions if a participant must miss a class due to their own scheduling conflicts.
  • If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, participants will be contacted prior to the start of class. 
  • If a cancellation is needed due to extenuating circumstances, the participant will need to speak with the Associate Director of Fitness immediately in order for a refund to be considered.
