Hawkeye recreation field hours
Recreational Services has the privilege of overseeing the Hawkeye Recreation Fields. This space includes:
- Five natural-grass fields and six artificial-turf fields which can be used for flag football, ultimate frisbee, soccer, lacrosse
- Four sand volleyball courts
- UI Challenge Course
The fields are typically open from mid-April through late October, with synthetic turf fields available during additio
- Lights available only for reservations, drop-in use, and for Recreational Services programs.
- Facility may close due to inclement weather or wet conditions.
- Pets, golfing, bikes, and alcohol are not permitted.
- Parking is available on-site for guests of the facility.
Want to reserve our outdoor spaces?
Interested in reserving space in our outdoor spaces? Complete our Facility Request Form and we will let you know what is available. Reservations must be requested at least 10 business days in advance of the reservation date to secure the desired space. Please note completion of this form does not guarantee that the space is available. Recreational Services staff will follow up with you via email to confirm the reservation. If space is not available, other options may be offered as an alternative. Applicable rental fees and contractual obligations may apply.
