The Adventure Trips program plans several adventure trips throughout the year that are open to students and the community. In the past, trips have included kayaking, hiking, bouldering, paddling, cross-country and skiing - and these trips span across the country. Trips are open to anyone (students, staff/faculty, community members, and community non-members). Register online or at the CRWC membership desk. Space is limited, so make sure to register ASAP!
Hiking Effigy Mounds National Monument
Saturday, November 5 | 9:00am-6:00pm
Pre-trip meeting Thursday, November 3 from 6:00-7:00pm at the CRWC Climbing Wall.

Rock Climbing at Indian Bluffs
Saturday, September 17 | 8:00am-8:00pm
Pre-trip meeting Monday, September 12, 6:30-7:00pm at the climbing wall.
Transportation provided. The remote limestones walls of this unique Iowa wilderness area make the climbing at Indian Bluffs one-of-a-kind. The group will climb several routes and boulder problems various difficulty of on this day-long adventure. Participants must have a current Climbing Wall approval card to attend these trips. Register online or at the CRWC membership desk.
Bouldering at Governor Dodge State Park in Wisconsin
Sunday, September 18 | 8:00am-9:00pm
Pre-trip meeting: Friday, September 17, 7:00-7:30pm at the climbing wall.
Transportation provided. The sandstone boulders this unique mid-western climbing destination make the bouldering one of a kind. The group will climb in several areas with a plethora of boulder problems all with various difficulty. Participants must have a current Climbing Wall approval card to attend these trips. Register online or at the CRWC membership desk.
Sea Kayaking on Lake Macbride
Sunday, September 25 | 3:00-6:00pm
No previous experience needed! We'll meet at the Macbride Nature Recreation Area for a lesson on sea kayaking followed by a paddle tour of Lake Macbride. We’ll paddle by Lake Macbride State Park and spend some time out of the kayaks exploring the beautiful spillway area. There are 6 tandem spaces (3 tandem boats) and 4 single spaces available. Register online or at the CRWC membership desk.
