Recreational Services is excited to utilize Court Reserve! Court Reserve is an all-in-one online court reservation and management platform that is accessed through a website or through an app. This software will allow you to book courts, sign up for cardio tennis, and track your private lessons.
Reservation Prices
Rates shown are per person per ½ hour. Reservations are made in ½ hour increments up to a max of 2 hours. All players must pay their court fees before entering the courts.

Policies and Procedures
Court Reservation Polices
Current University of Iowa students and Recreational Services members may make a reservation up to SEVEN days in advance. For example, Monday through the following Monday.
Non-members may make a reservation THREE days in advance. For example, Monday – Wednesday.
A court reservation may be made for 30, 60, 90 or 120 minutes per day on one court. Only two non-consecutive reservations can be made by an individual each day.
Play begins on the hour or ½ hour. Play starts at 5:30am Monday through Friday and 8am on Saturday and Sunday.
Court Cancellation and No-Show Polices
Court cancellation fees are the responsibility of the person who booked the court reservation.
Court reservations must be canceled 4 hours prior to the court reservation to avoid court fees.
If participants do not cancel or attend their court reservation, the reservation creator will be charged $10 per half hour for the entire length of the reservation. Recreational Services reserves the right to suspended the ability to participate until the cancellation fee is collected.
There are no refunds on punch passes.
How to pay for your tennis or pickleball court:
Each participant will pay their portion of the court upon check-in at the HTRC prior to playing.
Each participant’s reservation fee will be based on their membership status, as well as if it is singles or doubles play.
Payment or punch pass redemption will only be collected in person at the time of check-in.
Punch passes can only be used by the participant who purchased the pass.
Exception: Dependents can use parent/guardian’s punch passes if the membership status is equivalent.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why are we using CourtReserve?
Recreational Services has switched to CourtReserve to provide a modern reservation experience for our participants. Individuals interested in reserving a court or attending a class such as Cardio Tennis can now reserve online.
Can I pay ahead of time?
Payment will only be collected ahead of time for program registrations that take place in Fusion. Payment required for court reservation, class participation, or private lessons will be collected when an individual arrives for their event.
Can I still call on the phone to reserve a court?
Yes! If you would still like to reserve a court over the phone, you can do so by calling 319-384-1215.
How do I add a family member to my account?
To add a family member to your CourtReserve account, please contact our staff either over the phone at 319-384-1215 or in person who can assist you with this process.
How long does it take for my CourtReserve account to be approved?
Once you create an account our staff will approve the account within 1 business day. If you do not hear from us within 24 hours after submitting an account request, please contact our staff at rec-services@uiowa.edu.
Do I need a CourtReserve Account to play tennis?
Yes! Please create an account here.
If you do not create an account, our staff will create one with you upon arrival for your reservation. Please note this may delay the amount of time you will have on the court.
