Memberships | Recreational Services
The University of Iowa

Membership Overview

A membership to Recreational Services is required to access all recreation facilities on campus, including the Campus Recreation & Wellness Center Field House, Hawkeye Tennis & Recreation Complex, and Fitness East. Once you have purchased a membership, you have access to all four Recreational Services' facilities.

To purchase a membership, visit either the CRWC, FH, HTRC, or FE with a photo ID. To purchase a sponsored membership, BOTH the sponsor, and the person being sponsored need to be present at sign-up. This includes any renewals.

Once inside, most activities are included with the membership including the following:

  • Swimming
  • Fitness
  • Racquetball
  • Basketball
  • Volleyball
  • Group Exercise Classes

University IDs or Recreational Services issued membership cards, or a digital barcode from The University of Iowa Recreational Services app must be presented at check-in each time a member accesses a Recreational Services facility. All non-UI student members will have their picture taken when signing up for a membership.
