Code of Conduct

Patrons are expected to respect the rights of others and follow all University policies and codes as well as Recreational Services rules and procedures. Disruptive behavior, as determined by Recreational Services staff, is not tolerated. Appropriate attire should be worn according to specific activity areas. Failure to adhere to this Code or University policies may result in a patron being removed from a facility/program, termination of their membership and/or expulsion from Recreational Services facilities. Refunds will not be provided.

Recreational Services Policies

Membership Code of Conduct

I understand that my membership card must be shown each time I wish to access Recreational Services' facilities; I understand that unauthorized use of my membership may result in the revocation of my privileges. As a Recreational Services' member, I accept responsibility for my actions and acknowledge that behavior conflicting with department policies may result in the loss of my membership privileges and/or disciplinary actions. I have read and understand the membership code of conduct.

ID Policy

University ID's or Recreational Services issued membership cards must be presented at check-in each time a member accesses a Recreational Services facility. All non-UI student members will have their picture taken when signing up for a membership. Members will be allowed to forget their ID twice per academic session (fall, spring, summer). All subsequent times that a member forgets their ID during the current session, they must pay the Forgotten ID walk-in fee to enter the facility. The Forgotten ID walk-in fee is $5 for the CRWC, Field House, HTRC and Fitness East.

Recreational Services requires a photo ID for anyone 14 and older when purchasing a daily pass or a membership.

Refund Policy

The amount of time used in the membership will be rounded up to the nearest month and then refunds are given based on increments subtracted from the initial membership package.

Examples:

  • If you have purchased a month membership and it has been two weeks, you will not get refunded.
  • If you have purchased a summer membership and it has been one month, you will be charged for a one-month membership and refunded the difference from the summer membership.
  • If you have purchased a yearly membership and it has been six months, you will be charged for six one month memberships and refunded the difference from the yearly membership.

Refunds will be given by check, UBill, or credit card.

Cash refunds will not be issued for any type of refund unless it was for a walk-in within 15 minutes of checking in.

Refunds for daily walk-ins will only be issued within 15 minutes of purchase.

Youth Policy

Youth ages 13 and under must be directly supervised by an adult to access Recreational Services facilities. Youth under 13 are not allowed in the fitness areas. They are also not able to take regular group fitness or mind/body classes.
