This fall semester, Recreational Services is partnering with Iowa Swim & Dive to put on our lap swim challenge. We will be swimming to each pool on their away schedule which equates to 3120 miles traveled or 26 miles swum across the semester.
There are 5 opportunities to win swag, including licensed Iowa Swim & Dive items! Each time you make it to a venue, you can use the QR code posted next to the tracking poster to enter to win.
Swim your miles in either the Competition Pool or Diving Well between Friday, September 18 and Friday, December 11, 2026.
How to Participate:
Put your name on the Lap Swim Challenge poster under the scoreboard on the north end of the competition pool.
Every time you swim 1 mile (1650 yds = 66 lengths/33 laps), place a sticker next to your name on the chart. The lifeguard in the stand closest to the scoreboard will have these at their chair.
Every time you place a sticker in a box that is highlighted gold, you can scan the QR code shown below to enter yourself to win swag, including licensed Iowa Swim & Dive items. There are a total of 5 opportunities to enter.
