Step up to the Challenge! The Iowa Indoor Rowing Challenge is one of the Midwest’s largest indoor rowing competitions, bringing together juniors, masters, and open competitors for a full day of racing. Hosted in-person at the University of Iowa Field House Main Deck, the event features a variety of race formats—including 2k, 1k, 500m, and relay events—designed for all experience levels. Youth participants can also join in age‑appropriate, short‑duration races that make the day fun and welcoming for future rowers.

The 2026 event will take place on Saturday, February 14, with standard registration at $45 per person and youth events priced at $15. Athletes may race as many times as they choose. The event is organized by the University of Iowa Recreational Services and led by Hawkeye Community Rowing Head Coach Danelle Stipes. [regattacentral.com]
