Registration Information: Pre-Registration begins on Monday, Aug. 14 at 8 a.m. During Pre-Registration, captains can start their teams and begin sending invitations to teammates to build the roster. Once official registration opens on Thursday, April 18, 2024, you can move your team to the "Tournament" division, once you have four players on your roster. Moving your team to the "Tournament" division just confirms that you plan to be there! Registration closes on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. Instructions on how to start a team, or how to join a team, can be found on our IMLeagues Registration Instructions page. We can only accommodate the first 24 teams that complete registration for this event!
Event Date and Time: Saturday, April 27 and Sunday, April 28. During registration, teams will select the time block for their pool play games on Saturday. Bracket play will begin at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday for teams qualifying.
Sport Location: Matches will take place at the Hawkeye Recreation Fields Sand Volleyball Courts. Information on how to get to the Hawkeye Recreation Fields from main campus can be found here.
Event Format: During registration, teams will select a four-team pool (division) from the available options. Each team will play the other three teams in its pool. The top two teams in each pool after Saturday's play will advance to the single elimination playoff bracket on Sunday.
Leagues Available: "Open" is the only league available for the Sand Volleyball tournament. An "Open" league means there are no gender requirements for teams.
Intramural Membership: Participants must have a 2023-2024 Fall and Spring Semester Membership, a Spring 2024 Semester Membership, or a 2023-2024 Tournament Pass in order to participate. Memberships can be purchased here, or participants without memberships will be prompted to purchase one upon registering.
