Women & Weightlifting: Keep it Simple Series

This program is dedicated to helping women feel comfortable and welcome in a weight room setting. This is not a "workout class". This is an opportunity for learning and development of new skills and techniques. This will be a total of 4 sessions.

Days: Saturdays - April 1, 8, 22, 29 (no class April 15)

Time/Place: 12:00-1:30pm in AR2 of the CRWC

Details: Each week you will learn new, dynamic, functional lifts and movement patterns including but not limited to...

  • How to warm up
  • The squat
  • The deadlift
  • Various push/pull arm movements
  • Core exercises
  • Bench Pressing

MAX: 20 with waiting list

Who is teaching? Certified Personal Trainers - Kailey Boland, Kylie Fahel, and Andrea Keegan

Cost: Free 

Must be a woman and a University of Iowa student to participate.
