Registration and Event Information

Registration Period: Monday, January 23 at 8:00 AM through Monday, February 6 at 11:59 PM on IMLeagues.com

Play Begins: Brackets will be released on February 7. Matches are to be played at the Field House Racquetball Courts.

League Format: "Play-By" single elimination tournament. Participants are required to schedule their matches by the deadline and report the scores to the IM office via email to Ashley Zugschwert.

Sport Description

Have you been playing racquetball for years?  Do you not even know what racquetball is? It does not matter, Intramural Racquetball is for everyone!!! This year, Intramural Racquetball will feature a single-elimination tournament, "play-by" style. Come on out to the Field House and play racquetball, it is a great way to blow off steam and get in a great workout! You can play singles, doubles or both! And, you can even play on two doubles teams (one Men’s or Women’s team, and one Co-Rec team)!

Important Information

  1. To participate in Intramural Sports, a UI Student, Faculty, Staff or Affiliate must purchase an Intramural Sports Membership. This $20.00/semester membership allows you to participate in almost any Intramural sport/event that semester. Once the Intramural Sports Membership is purchased, there is no additional cost to register. Directions on how to purchase an Intramural Sports Membership can be found here.
  2. Check the Intramural Rules and Regulations in regards to eligibility.
  3. Teams are restricted to two members. Participants can play on a Men’s or Women’s team, and a Co-Rec team.
  4. Equipment can be checked-out from Member Services at the Field House front desk to play matches. 
  5. This event features a single-elimination "play-by" tournament format. Teams will be responsible for coordinating match times with their opponents through each round of the tournament. Contact information for each team will be provided through IMLeagues.com.
  6. Matches will be self-officiated by participants. If an issue should arise that cannot be settled, the point shall be replayed. All participants are expected to know the rules, which can be found here.
  7. Matches must be scheduled by the individual teams. Contact information for all players/teams will be available through IMLeagues.com. Both teams are responsible for reporting the score by the "play-by" deadline via email to Ashley Zugschwert. Failure to report scores by the deadline will result in a double forfeit, and Forfeit Fines assessed.
  8. Any forfeit/no-show will result in a Forfeit Fine of $25.00. This fine is charged to the University Bill of the captain.
  9. Each competing organization is allowed only two team entries to accumulate points in the Coach’s Corner Intramural Sports Points Championship, but there is no maximum on the amount of teams that can register. If more than two teams per organization are entered, the top two finishing teams will be counted for points. Teams must designate their team affiliations before the event begins.​
  10. Want to play but don't have a team? You can join as a Free Agent on IMLeagues.com if you have paid the Intramural Sports Membership Fee, or you can join our Free Agent Group on Facebook to connect with other people looking for more players to form a team. Listing yourself as a Free Agent does not guarantee you will be on a team.
