Owl Camp

The overnight is on Thursday. Activities include developing a research project, carrying out field research, organizing a presentation on research findings, presenting findings to younger campers, mini explorations to unique natural areas in Eastern Iowa (Maquoketa Caves State Park or Mines of Spain State Park), camp out at MNRA, swimming at the UI CRWC Leisure Pool on Friday afternoon (make sure to remember your swim suit!).

Peregrinatio Per Iowan

There will be a family meeting for the Peregrinatio Per Iowam group at the Hawkeye Recreation Fields, under the shelter from 4:00-4:30pm on the first day of the week this camp is offered.  Please have one family member in attendance to get important safety information and schedules.This is a four-day camp with two overnights. The overnights will be Tuesday and Wednesday.

Activities include team building games, trip preparation (including a family meeting the afternoon of the first day), followed by a three-day journey to the Upper Iowa River & Northeast Iowa. Campers along with experienced staff will explore some of our state’s most treasured areas while at the same time rediscover the wonder of some of our local fauna. A visit to the famous “Decorah Eagle Cam” site will be included during the float down the Upper Iowa River.  Water activities such as canoeing and swimming will be part of the journey. Drop off and pick up location at Hawkeye Recreation Fields.

Food will be provided for the overnights and the days following the overnights.
