Important Information

  1. To participate in Intramural Sports, a UI Student, Faculty, Staff or Affiliate must purchase an Intramural Sports Membership. Information on how to purchase a membership can be found here. This $20.00/semester membership allows you to participate in almost any Intramural sport/event that semester. There is no cost to register a team, but team members must purchase the Intramural Sports Membership before joining/creating a team.
  2. Before the start of the tournament, each player must present a valid UI or government-issued photo ID to participate.
  3. Teams must have at least six players on the roster to complete registration. However, up to 10 registered players may participate in a game. Teams with less than 10 players are at a notable disadvantage. Keep this in mind when putting your team together to avoid added difficulty in the tournament.
  4. Teams may add players to their team up until the scheduled start time of the tournament’s first game.
  5. Each team will kick its entire line-up (max of 10) while eight opposing players are in the field. The inning is over after the last kicker has scored or an out has been made during the play in which the last kicker kicks.
  6. The amount of runs scored per half inning is limited to 10 runs.
  7. Each game will consist of five innings or 30 minutes, whichever comes first. A new inning will not begin after the 30-minute time limit unless the game is tied.
  8. A team that forfeits a scheduled game will be charged a $50.00 Forfeit Fine to the team captain’s U-Bill.
  9. In order to accumulate Co-Rec points in the Intramural Sports Points Championship sponsored by Coach’s Corner, teams must have at least four males and four females signed-in and participating in every game in which that team participates.
  10. All rules and regulations for Intramural Kickball can be found by clicking the "Rules" link above.
  11. Teams can compete in the year-long Intramural Sports Points Championship presented by Coach's Corner for a chance to win awesome prizes. For details on the Intramural Sports Points Championship presented by Coach's Corner, click here.
  12. Want to work for Intramural Sports? We work around classes and other conflicts with flexible scheduling, and you can still play Intramural Sports. To find out how to become an official, visit our Becoming an Official webpage!
  13. Want to play but don't have a team? You can join as a Free Agent on IMLeagues.com if you have paid the Intramural Sports Membership Fee, or you can join our Free Agent Group on Facebook to connect with other people looking for more players to form a team. Listing yourself as a Free Agent does not guarantee you will be on a team, although the Intramural Sports Office will help try to facilitate formation of a Free Agent team.
