Darts Important Information

  1. To participate in Intramural Sports, a UI Student, Faculty, Staff or Affiliate must purchase an Intramural Sports Membership. This $20.00/semester membership allows you to participate in almost any Intramural sport/event that semester. There is no cost to register a team, but team members must purchase the Intramural Sports Membership before joining/creating a team.
  2. In order to participate, players must register by the deadline and, on-site, provide a valid UI or government-issued photo ID.
  3. Matches will use cricket scoring – the individual/team must hit three 20’s, 19’s, 18’s, 17’s, 16’s, 15’s, and bullseyes to close out the game. Hitting a double will count as two. Hitting a triple will count as three.
  4. Players must be present and ready to play within five minutes of a game’s scheduled start time.
  5. Men and Women will be competing against each other in the open tournament.
  6. All participants will use the electronic boards (plastic tip). Participants may use their own darts if they choose (must be plastic tipped).
  7. Any forfeit/no-show will result in a $25.00 Forfeit Fine. This fine is charged to the University Bill of the individual in singles or team captain in doubles.
  8. Doubles teams may have up to four players on the roster, in case a sub is needed the night of the event. Once two players start the tournament, those two players must finish the tournament as no substitutions are allowed at that time.
  9. Each competing organization is allowed only two team entries in both doubles and singles to accumulate points in the Intramural Sports Points Championship presented by Coach's Corner, but there is no maximum on the amount of teams/individuals that can register. If more than two teams in doubles, and individuals in singles, per organization are entered, the top two finishing teams/individuals will be counted for points. Teams/Individuals must designate their team affiliations before the event begins. To earn Co-Rec points, a team must compete with one male and one female throughout all Intramural Darts contests. Teams must compete with all males or all females in order to earn points for men’s and women’s organizations.
