3-Point Shootout Rules
Make sure you know the rules for the Intramural Sports 3-Point Shootout.
Each shooter will have 60 seconds to shoot five balls from each of the five racks positioned around the 3-point line. One rack will be positioned at the top of the key, one on each wing, and two on the baseline, one on each side of the hoop. Individuals can participate up to two times each. Champions of the 3-Point Shootout will be invited to compete in the State of Iowa 3-Point Shooting Championship against other shooters from Drake, UNI, and Iowa State.

To participate in the Intramural 3-Point Shootout, a UI Student, Faculty, Staff or Affiliate must purchase an Intramural Sports Semester Membership or an Intramural Sports Year-Long Membership (good through Spring 2019). More information on these can be found on our Intramural Sports Membership page. The $25 semester membership allows you to participate in any sport/event this semester, as many times as you'd like. The $45 year-long membership allows you to participate in any sport/event through Spring 2019, with the exception of the Intramural Golf Tournament. Participants must be eligible for participation according to the Intramural Sports Rules and Regulations eligibility requirements.

All participants must check-in with a University ID in accordance with our ID policy.

Participant information and scores will be entered onto IMLeagues.com each day following competition.
