Intermediate Olympic Weightlifting

This class is a continuation of the Intro to Olympic Lifting or Olympic Lifting Basics Class. In this four-week session, participants will continue to refine their Weightlifting skills and work on technique. Each class will include proper warm-up, form, technique, and cool down for the clean and jerk, and snatch. This workout also includes mobility drills, accessory exercises, plyometric drills, and progression lifts taught in detail. More emphasis will be placed on one-on-one coaching, as well as use of video to improve technique and form. The class is taught by a Certified USA Weightlifting Coach.

Intro to Olympic Weightlifting

Interested in a workout that promotes strength and higher jumps while utilizing all major muscle groups? Try Olympic Weightlifting! In this four week session, participants will learn proper warm-up, form, technique, and cool down for the two basic Olympic Lifts: clean and jerk, and snatch. This workout also includes accessory exercises, plyometric drills, and progression lifts taught in detail. Participants will learn about lifting safety on the platforms. In the last week, participants will learn how to implement the movements into their exercise routines. Although it is beneficial to attend the “Intro to Powerlifting” session prior to this session, it is not necessary.

Olympic Weightlifting 101

Olympic Weightlifting Basics

Learn Olympic lifts, clean & jerk, and snatch. Increase muscular strength and speed in this four-week session! We will build the foundation for Olympic lifting through proper progressions with emphasis on form and technique. This specialty class includes a proper warm-up, cool down, and accessory exercise to target the main muscle movers in Olympic lifts. Additionally, participants will be educated on safety and exercise programming to pursue long-term progress.

Women & Weightlifting

This program is for women who are interested in getting strong and fit using barbell exercises. Each session incorporates technique-based coaching that focuses on the basic barbells lifts: the squat, deadlift, bench press, and overhead press. Accessory lifts and gym safety will also be covered. We will wrap up each day by putting what we learned into practice with a sweat-induced, challenging weightlifting workout together.

This program will take place at the Field House in the Olympic Weightlifting Room.
