Summer 2017 Specialty Programs

If you are not a Recreational Services member you must also pay the daily walk-in fee ($8) per class. 

Compound Barbell

This 45 minute class will involve the learning of proper technique and execution of the main barbell lifts (Squat, Deadlift, Bench press, and Overhead press) as well as Olympic Lifts (Snatch, Clean, and Jerk) to improve athletic power and strength. Time and energy will be focused on the movement patterns themselves as well as progressions to advance weight.  Register here.

SPARQ Training 

This class will focus on the main components of SPARQ- Speed, Power, Agility, Reaction, and Quickness to improve overall athletic performance. Medicine balls, resistance bands, hurdles, and agility ladders will be the main equipment used. This class is for athletes, past Bootcampers, or anyone looking for a fun and challenging workout!  Register here.

Fitness Barre

Fitness Barre includes a combination of ballet, Pilates, and yoga to offer a different workout every class. Classes rely mostly on body weight for resistance, along with props such as stretch bands, yoga straps, Pilates rings, light hand weights, and mini stability balls. A smooth flow through strength and stretch exercises will bring your health to new heights.  Register here.

TRX Suspension Training

Suspend and sweat! Build overall strength and endurance with this highly efficient suspension training program.  This is a non-stop workout where you spend the entire time using the TRX.  This program is designed for exercisers at all levels.
