You will learn rowing terms, how to carry boats and oars, how to erg on land and row on the water, and work with others to move the boats on the water. 

  • All fitness and athletic backgrounds welcome, no experience necessary.
  • Dress in weather appropriate clothing that is fitted, sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses. Baggy clothing is discouraged due to the design of rowing equipment.
  • Bring a water bottle.

After completing this session, you may join the Adult and/or University of Iowa Student Rowing programs.

Location: P. Sue Beckwith Boathouse

Date: Sunday, Sept. 11

Times:

  • Option 1: 9–11 a.m.
  • Option 2: 11 a.m.–1 p.m.

Fee: FREE.  Must pre-register online.
