Laurynn is a Head Lifeguard for our Aquatic Staff at the CRWC. She is extremely dedicated to her job and we are so thankful to have her as a part of the #recservfam. Keep up the good work Laurynn!

Position: Head Lifeguard

Year/Major: Senior/Health and Human Physiology: Health Promotion

Hometown: Marion, Iowa

How long have you worked for us?: 2 years

What have you learned from working here?: A lot!! Most importantly leadership skills, time-management and a whole lot of patience!

Something interesting about yourself: I have never broken a bone before. I fractured my big toe my freshman year of basketball, but that's it.

What do you do in your spare time?: Bake some sort of cookies or cook good food!

What is one thing you wish everyone knew about working at the CRWC?: It's a great place to work that is conveniently on campus and forces you to work out before/after a shift since you're already at the gym. I've met a lot of great people working here!

Any plans for after graduation?: Attending Iowa State University in Summer of 2017 to pursue my degree in dietetics because Iowa doesn't have a dietetics program :(.

If you could eat any food every day for the rest of your life without any health consequences, what would it be?: Heyn's Monster Mash Ice Cream (seriously you have to try it).

What Laurynn's supervisor has to say about her: Laurynn is one of the most professional students I have had the opportunity to work with. She puts forth not only a strong work ethic and dedication to our department, but truly cares about the job she does daily. She is extremely organized, focused and driven to get her job done. Most of all, she is a pleasure to work with! - Allison Hursh, asst. director of Aquatics

*Laurynn was nominated for Faces of RecServ in Fall 2016
