Position: Marketing Assistant and Personal Trainer

Year/Major: Senior, Communication Studies Major

Hometown: Peoria, IL

How long have you worked for us?: Since August of 2014

What have you learned from working here?: I have learned the importance of rapport building with anyone you work with – including my clients, co-workers, and higher-ups. It’s amazing what you can learn about another person if you start to build a solid relationship with them There’s some pretty cool people out there!

Something interesting about yourself: I was caught in a rip current when I was 14 and it took 6 men and 1.5 hours to get me back to shore. I was also out past the 3rd sandbar where there could have been sharks under me! Ah!

What do you do in your spare time?: I love to cook anything and everything, try new restaurants, be outside, and play with my dog, Bogey (he’s the best). #bogeythings - check it out on instagram.

What is one thing you wish everyone knew about working as a Marketing Assistant and Personal Trainer?: I wish people knew how rewarding it is to get to watch your clients improve week to week, month to month, and year to year. It’s amazing to see your own programming help them reach and further their goals. I also love seeing/ helping create new programs and marketing them through different medias. Both jobs have created a positive environment for me to work in and have allowed me to be surrounded by other hard-working individuals.

What are your plans for after graduation?: Begin my amazing traveling internship with Maui Jim Sunglasses!!

If you could eat any food every day for the rest of your life without any health consequences, what would it be?: Sour Patch Kids

What Kylie’s supervisor has to say about her: Kylie joined the marketing team after working as a personal trainer (which she still does!) and we're so glad she did! Kylie's been a great addition to the marketing team - she's full of ideas and and ready to try anything. She's accountable, creative, and fun - a great combination! We'll miss her after she graduates but we wish her the best as she starts her next adventure! - Kelly Teeselink, marketing coordinator
