Jeremy has been a trainer with us for two years at Rec Services and is known for his work ethic and building great relationships with clients. Thanks for all of your hard work, Jeremy!

Position: Personal Trainer

Year: I am a senior studying Exercise Science.

Hometown: Crystal Lake, IL

How long have you worked for us? Two years.

Favorite part of working for RecServ: Being able to make an impact on people's lives.

What is something you've learned from working for RecServ? Each trainer specializes in certain aspects of fitness and everyone has something to offer. With the fitness industry constantly evolving, I've learned that there is always room to improve and gain knowledge about other aspects of fitness.

Something interesting about yourself: I compete in natural bodybuilding contests.

What do you do in your spare time? When I'm not at school I always try to spend as much time with my family as possibly, especially my little sister. On the weekends, I DJ at Eden Lounge in Iowa City. I like to cook, play golf, and definitely like to Netflix and chill.

What is one thing you wish everyone knew about working as a personal trainer? That, especially now-a-days, they are so much more than personal trainers. Personal trainers have the potential to be life/health coaches, motivators, and someone who makes hugely positive impacts on their client's lives. Relationships built between personal trainers and their clients can turn into valuable, life-long relationships that is more than just working out at the gym.

What do you always have in your gym bag? Headphones, rice cakes, and pre-workout.

Favorite type of exercise: Lifting/resistance training, specifically bodybuilding training.

Plans after graduation: I plan on moving back home and working at a sports performance center, training high school athletes in the off-season. I eventually plan to move to California, where the fitness industry is the biggest, after I have saved up money.

If you could eat any food every day for the rest of your life without any health consequences, what would it be? This one is almost impossible to answer! I'd have to go with donuts.

What his supervisor has to say about him: Jeremy has been an excellent asset to our team. Jeremy is a naturally born leader and his balance of compassion and toughness is perfect, especially in his role as a personal trainer.  Jeremy's dedication to others and to his own goals is incredibly admirable. I am blessed to have such a kind, talented, and hard working individual on our team. He truly is a genuinely nice gentleman and an amazing coach! -Angela Charsha-Harney
