Position: Member Services

Year/Major: Junior, Psychology

Hometown: Mount Pleasant, IA.

How long have you worked for us?: Five months

What have you learned from working here?: Communication is key to success! Working for Rec Services has taught me that communication is the basis to building and maintaining relationships. Communication also helps execute policies, delegate tasks, and maintain overall productivity. This applies to work as well as everyday life.

What is something interesting about yourself?: My entire immediate family attended the University of Iowa, except for my middle brother. He chose Iowa State...we don't talk about that.

What do you like to do in your spare time?: I do an unhealthy amount of binge watching Netflix shows and eating cottage cheese by the pound!

What is one thing you wish everyone knew about working in your position?: There is always room to grow in Rec Services. Whether that's applying for higher positions, making connections with your co-workers and the patrons, or getting to work on your studies during a shift, growth is encouraged at Rec Services.

Do you have any plans after graduation?: After graduation, I plan to work towards a Master's degree in an area focusing on Social Justice or Criminology. My dream is to become a Prison Psychologist and help inmates reconnect with society after their time in prison is up.

If you could eat any food every day for the rest of your life without any health consequences, what would it be?: COTTAGE CHEESE!!!!!
