Bio:

I was born and raised in the Netherlands, where I grew up wanting to become a judge. After completing law school, I realized that my true passion was in the health and wellness industry instead. My strong desire to help others live a healthy lifestyle came from 5+ years of being chronically ill. I experienced first-hand the effect that nutritious foods and consistent exercise can have on the way your body feels.

I decided to pursue my health certification as a Holistic Health Coach through the Institue for Integrative Nutrition in New York City and started my own business as a health coach. Knowing that moving my body is just as crucial to health as a proper diet, I became certified as a Personal Trainer as well. I enjoy the balance between my health coaching business and being on the personal training team at the University of Iowa.

I am a wife and a dog mom to two beautiful rescue dogs. I love to travel, cook, exercise, read, and spend time in nature-I believe life is only as good as you make it!

Philosophy:

Exercise is about more than just losing fat or building muscle. I see it as my job to teach my clients to love themselves and respect their bodies, no matter where they are in their journey.
