Bio:

I have been playing sports, lifting, running, and doing yoga for more than 20 years. Some of my biggest accomplishments include playing basketball for the University of Iowa from 2001-2005, running the Boston Marathon, competing in power and Olympic weightlifting competitions, and balancing fitness with motherhood. In addition to my academic career as a researcher in the field of public health, I have had 6 years of experience in strength and conditioning, training, and yoga instruction. I am passionate about helping other individuals achieve their sports performance goals—whether it be developing a quicker shot on the basketball court, improving a golf swing, running faster, or jumping higher. Due to my combined certifications in pre/postnatal yoga and lifting, I am very capable of developing training programs for women during and after pregnancy.
