Bio:

My exercise/athletics journey started from a very young age. My dad was an athletic trainer for 2 different high schools, so I would tag along with him to all the games he covered for many different sports. I have also tried almost every sport at least once, but nothing stuck until I found swimming. I started swimming when I was 6 and fell in love with the sport. I swam competitively year-round until I graduated high school. I chose not to swim competitively in college, and from there I found the gym in my freshman year at Iowa. I had some experience lifting weights from conditioning for swimming, but not much as most of our conditioning was in the pool. Through YouTube and friends, I taught myself how to navigate the gym and weight training. I loved it so much I decided to switch my major my junior year from Pre-Med to Exercise Science and have since graduated with my BA. I became a personal trainer in March of 2019 and it has quickly become my passion to help others who are just starting out, or who need a little guidance in the gym, like I once did.

As your personal trainer, I will help you pursue your goals with a “Give it your all, and rest when you’re done” mindset. Giving a goal your ALL a challenge, it demands discipline and hard work inside and out of the gym. But once that goal is achieved it’s okay to let it rest and feel accomplished, then make a new goal, and get after it. I am excited to work with you and see what goals we can achieve together!

Philosophy: Give it your all, and rest when you’re done.
