Function

To work with clients to develop personalized health and fitness plans and monitor client development.  This position is responsible for designing and implementing individual workout programs for all fitness levels and ages, demonstrating and coaching clients on proper use of cardiovascular and strength equipment, and promoting safe technique and form when weight training. 

A personal trainer may have the opportunity to work with clients - individual and partner sessions as well as Bootcamp, TRX, and X-Fit/Olympic Lifting classes.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of all policies and procedures of the facilities and personal training program
  • Greet clients and educate members and/or guests on fitness-related topics
  • Provide monthly workshops on fitness-related topics
  • Conduct fitness assessments, fitness orientations, and health consultations while maintaining a high level of confidentiality
  • Responds to all building emergencies (Accidents/Injuries, Inclement Weather, etc)
  • Assist with publicity and promotion of new and existing programs/services
  • Ensure outstanding customer service.
  • Works cooperatively with other areas of the department to achieve established goals.
  • Performs other work as assigned.

  • Must manage training schedule and be able to accommodate a variable work schedule that may include early mornings, late evenings, and weekends
  • Must successfully complete the Personal Trainer Audition

Required Training/Certifications

  • Currently hold a National Personal Training certification (ACE, ACSM, AFFA, NSCA, NASM, CSCS, etc.)
  • Certification of CPR/AED or willingness to obtain
  • Complete Bloodborne Pathogens Training
  • Attend required in service meetings and trainings
  • HIPPA training upon hire
  • Must successfully complete a criminal background check
