Location:         Campus Recreation & Wellness Center (CRWC) and Fitness East (FE) located in Halsey Hall

Supervisors:     Coordinator, Facility Operations

Rate of pay:     $9.60/hour (starting wage)

To assist in the day to day management of the CRWC and FE for the benefit of the members and the university community.  This position requires a mature individual with good communication and leadership skills. 


  • Enforces facility policies and procedures (accessibility issues, rules of activity, etc.)
  • Count facility participants
  • Assist in training and supervision of CRWC Facility Attendant and Member Services positions
  • Carry out security measures (proper opening and closing duties, accountability for building keys, money handling, etc.)
  • Respond to all building emergencies (accidents, injuries, inclement weather, etc.)
  • Execute the set-up of activity areas for variety for internal and external groups (includes meeting rooms, volleyball nets, audio/visual, etc.)
  • Provide support for special events, as needed
  • Ensure outstanding customer service
  • Work cooperatively with other areas of the department to achieve established goals
  • Promote a safe, clean, functional, and marketable facility
  • Lead facility tours when needed
  • Perform other work as assigned

  • Must be able to accommodate a variable work schedule that may include early mornings, late evenings, weekends and holidays & breaks (work two of the three breaks).  Weekends include working at least two football games per season.
  • One year of experience working at Recreational Services is preferred.

Training/Certification Requirements

  • Complete FERPA, Credit Card, Security Awareness, Cash Handling and Bloodborne Pathogens Training.
  • Certifications in First Aid, CPR/AED or ability to obtain.
  • Must successfully complete a criminal background check.
