1st - 6th grade

Spend spring break week with UI Wildlife Camps learning, exploring, and growing! Our theme this year is Biodiversity Adventures. 1st – 3rd graders will be grouped together as will the 4th – 6th grade participants. If a camper wants to join another camper in a different grade grouping, please let staff know on the first day and we will accommodate that request.

Activities and topics will include:

  • Natural History of Northern Goshawks
  • Bird calls and nests
  • Animal tracking and scavenger hunts
  • Fossils and rocks
  • Wilderness survival/shelter building
  • Pond study
  • Migrating waterfowl
  • Plants and entomology of the prairie
  • Swimming at the leisure pool, yoga, and climbing at the CRWC


Fee: $210


Scholarships are available for Goshawk Camp to UI families through UI Family Services. Learn more on their website.

Registration is online onlyInternet Explorer does NOT work with our registration portal. Please use Chrome or Firefox. You must have an online account with us to register. If you do not have an account, we recommend setting up an account PRIOR to registration opening.

Here's what you need to know:

  • You can sign up for an account at any time. Learn how to set up an account and how to register here. If you have questions please call 319-335-9293 or stop by the CRWC or Field House Member Services desk. 
  • If you are familiar with our online registration process, head right to our online portal to sign in and register.




  • All refunded registrations are charged an administrative processing fee ($75.00).
  • A refund will be issued if canceling 4 weeks prior to the start of offering attending.
  • Refunds will not be issued for no-shows.
  •  If you need to cancel, please call Jeanette Luke at 319-335-9294 and complete the online refund request form.
  • The directors reserves the right to dismiss any camper whose choices or conduct becomes detrimental to the program, other participants or themselves. No refunds will be made for dismissed campers.

We understand that a medical issue or unplanned emergency may cause a camper the inability to attend camp. 

  • Please call Jeanette Luke at 319-335-9294.
  • All refunded registrations are charged an administrative processing fee ($75.00).
  • A refund may be requested by completing the online refund request form.
  • If a camper is able and there is time and room, an attempt will be made to switch the camper to a different session. (This only applies to summer camps.)
