The University of Iowa - Recreational Services

We offer tennis programming for all levels and all ages from three through adult, in a fun and challenging environment.

Registration:

Payment & registration for all programs is required in advance at the Hawkeye Tennis & Recreation Complex. Registration takes place up until 5:00 pm the Friday before the session starts. All classes will be held at the Hawkeye Tennis & Recreation Complex, 384-1215.

What to Bring:

All participants must bring a racquet. Only non-marking tennis shoes are allowed on the courts. Many black soled shoes will mark the courts. Please bring a water bottle. A hat and/or sunscreen is recommended for all summer programs.

Tennis Camp June 4 - 8

Ages 6-16, for all levels of kids. Campers will be divided into age groups and level of play and be provided: t-shirt, drinks and light snacks, stroke and strategy instruction, drills, games, videotaping and more!

Academy Tennis Camp June 4 - 8

Designed for kids 8-18 who are capable of playing points on a full court or a 60 foot court. Kids should have USTA tournament, high school match play experience or are aspiring to that level. Camp will be divided according to age and level of play. Camp will cover stroke and strategy instruction, mental toughness seminars, tennis specific conditioning tips, videotaping, a camp tournament, pizza party and more!
