The Hawkeye Recreation Fields have 12 fields for outdoor recreational use, including Intramural Flag Football, ultimate, soccer and lacrosse. 4 sand volleyball courts and six basketball courts are available on a drop-in basis or by advanced registration. Lights for fields and courts are available until 10:00 PM weekdays and by reservation on weekends (weather permitting). The facility is available on a scheduled basis from approximately April 1st to October 15th. The fields can be closed due to inclimate weather or wet conditions. A determination is made at 3:00 PM on weekdays and at Noon on weekends. Call 319-353-3000 (press 2) for the current conditions of the outdoor fields. The Hawkeye Recreation Fields are located on Hawkeye Park Drive. A parking lot is available at the Fields.
